Misook created her line because she saw a need that women, just like herself, were looking for sophisticated designs that didn’t compromise comfort and were easy to look after.

As a young woman traveling the world, Misook Doolittle realized she needed a wardrobe that packed well, but was still elegant. Being on the go meant that she didn’t have time for trips back and forth to the drycleaners, but she wasn’t willing to sacrifice style. And that was the inspiration that lead to Exclusively Misook.

This season my designers went full throttle, offering color in all categories.

I found lovely cotton fabrics in walking shorts, capris, jackets, sweaters and tops.  Bold M&M colors grabbed my attention immediately. I was especially drawn to tangerine, lime, coral, green, red and bright blue.  Pucci prints and color block dresses brighten wardrobes too. Even cocktail dresses took on a new look: Soft pinks, cherry reds, ivory and of course black and white.

The dreaded Mother-of-the bride and groom dress does not hold court here, so relax.  Stop in, check out the store and let me know what you think.

Our MARC CAIN separates are gorgeous this time of year – breathtaking colors of cream and beige with a touch of grey and white.  His idea of keeping it simple this season certainly does not take away from the beauty.  I particularly admire his use of mixed media, like a silk animal print blouse paired with a swing circle skirt and a knit-one-pearl-two sweater.  As quickly as this collection arrives, that’s how quickly it breezes out the door.

The Theia collection was created to bring out a women’s inner goddess. Theia is fabricated with the finest European brocades, silks and prints, embellished with couture beading and embroideries. Each piece is meticulously stitched together to create exquisite gowns and cocktail dresses that flow beautifully around the body. I know what you’re thinking – a gown with sleeves is a scary image – but trust me, they are anything but scary. I tend to like different looks and not just what’s “in” or what’s “traditional,” so I was immediately drawn to the beautiful cocktail dresses.
