"2T", "2TA" indicates a 360 crank, 2U, 2UA, or 3U indicates later 390 crank (earlier 390 was cast with taller C3AE-B, etc, markings). The "-A" indicates a revised bobweight specification, probably due to a piston revision.

WebFeb 28, 2001 · As mentioned in the previous answer, 390 standard bore is 4.05 inches. Standard 428 is 4.13 inches. 4.16 is a .030 over 428. Anyway, if the block does not have the 428 identifier marks, then you must sonic test the block to see if you have enough metal to bore it to 428 piston size.
