I don't believe its a thermosetting paint - just a thick tough oil enamel. - leastways it used to be . -- To people who know nothing, anything is possible. To people who know too much, it is a sad fact that they know how little is really possible - Webb26 mars 2007 · Was in B&Q today buying some cement, had a look at the Hammerite paints, you use 2:1 ratio paint: thinners, have to say it’s very expensive in the small pots they sell. Don’t know what gear you have access to, i.e. compressor & gun, but I would be tempted to use 2 pack.

Its a bit pricey to say the least when bought as a Hammerite product - but costs about half the price when bought in a generic xylene can. Alternatively, you can just use petrol for Hammerite brushes - petrol contains xylene and is a cheaper still.

We used to paint our old Bedford TK like that and there were no brush strokes visible. I did my 850 mini the same way and it fooled ppl when standing still.
